Animal welfare auditing
and/or interventions

Dr Mark James Learmonth offers expert animal welfare auditing for zoological institutions, where the entire captive collection may be audited for animal welfare related concerns, warning signs, specific issues, and/or incidents of negative welfare, as well as offering suggestions for improvements for promotion of positive animal welfare states.

He also offers fixed-term, focused interventions for welfare optimization with specifically chosen individuals, species, or enclosures, as identified by the client.

Audits and interventions can be performed under contract for an agreed "per intervention" figure, or charged at an hourly rate (using a decreasing tiered hourly rate system, dependent upon the total amount of time taken to achieve a resolution).
